Panhandle Regional 9-1-1 Network
Advisory Committee
The Panhandle Regional 9-1-1 Network's Advisory Committee was established July 26th,
1990 by the Panhandle Regional Planning Commission's Board of Directors. The Board
created the Advisory Committee to establish working rules and procedures, review and
approve the Panhandle Regional 9-1-1 Network Plan, assess the performance of the 9-1-1 Network,
as well as general provisioning and direction of 9-1-1 Network staff.
The Advisory Committee meets quarterly at the Panhandle Regional Planning Commission is
comprised of one representative from each PSAP area and three representatives
from the telecommunications industry. At these meetings, the Committee will be given updates
on 9-1-1 issues, and will vote on any agenda items that require a Committee decision.
