The Panhandle Regional 9-1-1 Network will provide onsite training to the Public Service Answering Point. The training will cover the regional 9-1-1 map and software. We will review items located in the Walkthroughs. We will review map functionality and features, and Power 9-1-1 tricks and tips.
9-1-1 Map
- Searching for addresses
- Searching for coordinates
- Identifying address information
- Adding pins for superficial information
- Adding annotations to the map
- Turning layers of the map On/Off
- Print the Map
- Draw and measure on the map
9-1-1 Software
- Answer call as it arrives at the PSAP
- Transfer calls to other PSAPs or dispatch centers
- ALI lookup
- Listen to recordings of calls
- Adjust volume controls
- Answer Text Messages
- Intercom between sites
- Answer a TTY call
- Switch between Map servers
- Restart and login to the 9-1-1 Position
We encourage as many staff to be present as possible for the training.
